THIS SESSION!!!!!! Oh my, this weeks Indian Summer maternity session was pure bliss!!! This mama-to-be…. does it get more gorgeous!!! Mom is a friend of mine we used to work together at Salon U in downtown Lake Orion. She has always been a trendy, stylish girl so I know we would have fun with her session. She came with some adorable outfits of her own and we also played dress-up with my maternity dress closet. She looked stunning in everything she tried on. She was also open to all the ideas that I had and wanted to try so it was so fun to get my creative juices flowing.
Her session started in my studio where we got some awesome backlit shots of her. These shots are some of my favorites… anyone who has worked with me of followed my work knows I love backlit shots that enhance the maternity silhouette. We then headed to downtown Clarkston and used the beautiful backdrop of Mill Pond for some couple photos. Dad recently broke his hand and had a cast on his right arm so we did our best to hide it for him. Luckily he should be all healed up in time for the arrival of their baby boy. We finished the session at my favorite spot THE LAKE! The sky was on fire and we had the most beautiful sunset on this Indian Summer evening. I would have never thought we I would still be shooting in the lake in October but it was 80 degrees so how could we resist. The water was a little chilly already but it was refreshing.
I cant wait to meet this couple’s baby boy in a couple months. He is already so loved and Mom and Dad are going to be great parents. Stay tuned for the newborn session. Here are a few of my favorites from the session… Enjoy!
