Families Grow {Lake Orion, MI Family Photography}

Over the years families grow… Children grow up and meet mates and have children.  It is so important to have family photos taken at all stages of your family over the years.  I have a lot of families who will get photos done while their children are young.  Family photos are also important when children are older and leave the house.  I was so excited to work with this family!  Mom is a friend of a friend and reached out to me to get some updated photos of her family.  Both her boys are grown and live outside of her home.  Her oldest son has a serous girlfriend and she wanted some updated photos with her in the photos.

It was during their session that I realized that most of the family sessions that I shoot are for families with young children.  Watching them interact and seeing the great images we got made me so happy that they have these memories to cherish.  I also realized that family photos are not just for families with young children and capturing photos with older and grown children are just as important.  Late summer and fall are the ideal time for family photos.  But I also shoot them in the winter and spring.
